This weeks happenings

Hi everyone....hope you all have had a wonderful week.  The weather here has been absolutely beautiful, all my flowers are starting to bloom, my yellow birds are feasting on the thistle I bought for them and I think I have finally finished decorating for Easter this week.

I had a unexpected surprise on Tuesday, my cousin from out of state dropped by for a visit, it was so good to see her! We went to lunch and she came back home with me and we made a tassel, she loves crafting as much as I do.

Here is a little project I made this week, so very simple. I started off with an empty tin coffee can, spray painted it, added broken earring, then ribbon. For the top I added tissue paper and covered it with Mod Podge.  I thought it would be cute to hold packets of sweeteners.  I may make some for the bathroom to hold cotton balls.

Here is the finished product, I really had fun doing this.  The pearl earring is one of my Mom's, she passed away 2 years ago so this reminds me of her. The other earring is mine, I lost the mate.haha

Here is my other project, I got the idea for this next project from Sherry over at Creations from the heart, she has some great ideas. If you have never been on her blog, you need to go check it out!
I am going to make more of these for other places in my home. For mothers day I am going to make one for my mother-in-law.

Here is the finished project, let me know what you think.

I have a new member to our rooster family, got him of course at Ross. Aren't they the rooster capital of the world?

He is setting on top of the fridge, guarding the food.

I have one more picture....another rooster. This one I ordered from QVC. His tail feathers are measuring spoons, love the black and white polka dots.

He looks chocolate, but he is made of porcelain and is black and white.

Well this is all I have for now, hope you enjoyed going through my week with me.
Love and prayers,

  1. Cute projects! Thanks for following our blog, I followed you back. :-)

  2. Thanks for visiting and following my blog.

    VERY cute projects here. :)
Love the roosters, my mom collects them too. Jealous over your weather though....SO ready for some heat here!
    Have a great day!

  3. Very creative with the coffee cans! Cute.

  4. What a cute idea with the coffee tins. I love the look of the added bling on each one.
And I have to say how cute your Easter eggs are that your neice and nephew did. Love all the color and pattern!

  5. I, too, am a rooster lover. That polka dot one that holds spoons is so cute!

Loved seeing your creativity with the coffee cans. I have a few of those cans storing items, too. They are such a nice size and shape. Yours are so much cuter, since mine are not decorated.

    I am enjoying your blog.

  6. Great projects, girl, you are on a roll! I have the top Roo, isn't he cute and colorful? XOXO ~Liz
