Hello from Montana

Hi ladies hope everyone is doing well.  I am on vacation, we left yesterday and after changing planes twice and renting a car and traveling another 2 hours....we finally arrived in Yellowstone National Park, Montana.  We are staying at a ranch just outside of West Yellowstone called the Bar-N Ranch. I will try and post more pictures when I have time....it is so unbelievably beautiful here.

12 hours later...finally here we are!

This is the view that welcomed us to Montana. My husband took this when we stopped to take the picture of the welcome sign. What a breath taking view.

This is what was in our room over the fireplace...a little kitty. he's a little bit bigger than our cat at home but not quite as cute.
Wow what a fireplace huh?

This is the view from the back porch. There is still over 2 feet of snow here.

Here are the other cabins around us.
Cool cabins and WHAT A VIEW!!!!
Here are my two cousins in their room playing on the "secret hide out" as they call it.

Another view from the back porch
Well, it timeI to go and explore this new and beautiful world known as Montana. I'll be posting more pictures as I said earlier but until then...

love to all,
Regina

Mother's Day 2011

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Mother's Day. I know I sure did. My son took me out to a French restaurant for brunch and we had the best time together.
My son Caleb and I in front of the restaurant.

This is my best friend, also known as my husband Darryl.
Later on we had a late lunch with my husbands parents at our home on the back deck. We had homemade chicken salad sandwiches, mashed potatoes and Bush's baked Grillin beans and a huge salad fresh picked this morning.
My in-laws, Dot and Glenn also known as "Me-Maw & Pa-Paw".
Besides the Mother's day activites, I have also been busy with more crafts. Here are some of the things I've been working on this week.

This is my Dollar Tree "Lil-Roo" before and after.

After
And here he is on the dining room table. (Told you he was little, but cute huh?)
I planted some flowers this week as well. Here is a picture of some of the flowers. I got the faux pot from Wal-mart. It just looks like a ceramic pot.
Geraniums, English Ivy and Purple Daisies
I don't know if I have mentioned this before, but I have small website where I sell what I call "Java Spirits". They are decorated wine bottles that light up and have flavored coffee beans inside and when they are plugged in, it smells like fresh made coffee. Hazelnut is my favorite. Here are some samples.

Well that's all for now. Let me know what you think of the wine bottles.

Love ya'll

Pretty as a picture...frame

Hi everyone,

I just had to show you my latest little project. I made these the other day and gave it to some of our friends with a new little baby girl. They are associate pastors at our church and have been such a blessing to my husband and myself and I just wanted to show them how much we appreciated them. Tell me what you think.

The picture frame I picked up at my favorite store, see if you can guess what store that is. If you guessed Hobby Lobby then you would be the million dollar winner. I didn't have to paint this frame, it already came in black (lucky me). I used scrapbook paper as the background and hot glued ribbon around the front edge. I made the bow using scrap ribbon and used an old faux flower as the focal point up top. It is really lime green, but came out yellow in the pictures. How'd that happen? Anyway, I got the letter in the middle at another on of my favorite stores...no wait a minute, I don't have another favorite store, I got it at Hobby Lobby as well. it also came in black so I really lucked out on this one. The little flowers are felt scrap-booking flowers. Cool huh?

This little keepsake box is another fine example of how I don't like to throw away anything. Did you guess that it was an International Coffee's can? That's right, just a little more magic with ribbon and hot glue. Good thing I didn't throw away that ole flower arrangement away either. That's where I got the flower from. It too was lime green, but turned out yellow in the pics. Maybe I'll get a new camera out of the deal so I can take pictures from now on with true colors.

They were both so thrilled with the gifts. They said that they would look great in her room that is decorated in brown and pink. That made the effort even more rewarding.

Here is my newest wall decor. Rooster plates on the wall. My husband thinks I'm going a little "rooster crazy" but he's OK with it so far...I think. I found the two plates on the ends at a yard sale for $0.50 each. The one in the middle I got at...where else, Hobby Lobby awhile back and reused an old plate hanger. They are now taking their abode in my dining room keeping the other roosters company.

If anyone wants to start a fund that would go toward my Hobby Lobby obsession, please feel free to send cash, checks or money orders to my husband. He is feeling a little overwhelmed. Hehehehe!!!!

As a final thought, let's all keep the victims of last weeks tornadoes and terrible storms in our prayers and way to go to the Navy Seals!!!!

Sorry this is so short, but I'm getting started on my next project, planting the rose that my husband bought me for Mother's day. Isn't he just the sweetest little thing?
Until next time...
